Taking as its starting point the observation by Gilles Deleuze that ‘representation is a site of transcendental illusion’, this talk will explore the possibility of non-representational visual practice.
Dr Daniel Rubinstein is a theorist of photography, philosopher and artist. He has published extensively on art after metaphysics and on new media aesthetics. He is the course leader for MA Photography at Central Saint Martins, London.

Art in Place – A talk by Richard Martin with artists from Specular Assembly
Richard will be discussing the ideas of siting contemporary art in an architectural and historical context and the implications this has in both content and context.
